Life is unfair

Zjendjan finally did it. His network of connections and crossed sides finally worked against him and pissed someone off. In fact, it pissed someone off enough to kill him. (It probably didn't help that Zjen started getting mad back at Freyr.)

He is laid out on a table somewhere in the mansion, looking somewhat natural, but on closer examination his head flops at an alarming angle on his broken neck. He looks shocked. This sort of thing was never supposed to happen, especially not to him.

Anyone is welcome to come see him and be just as shocked. (Happy birthday, John.)

Typist: Zjen's enterprising spirit pissed off Freyr. He is now rather dead and, unless someone intervenes, he may stay that way.

Interviewy thingymabob from Cimorene

1. Do you have siblings? If so, did you like them?
Ummm... *counts on fingers* I have a lot. More than seven living ones. And I like them sometimes since I left home.

2. What do you do when you're not busy serving other people?
Nothing really. Find ways to amuse myself.

3. Who's the most interesting person you've met since arriving?
You... Curio's pretty interesting in an odd sort of way.

4. Do you know how to fence? Do you want to practice?
Erm... I know a little. My master tried teaching me but it didn't go so well. I lose my breath too easily.

5. What's your favorite book?
I don't read much. I've read parts of the Bible and some Latin and Greek. There were no books at home.

01. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
02. I respond by asking you five questions of a very intimate and creepily personal nature. Or not so creepy/personal.
03. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
04. Include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
05. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Looking for James Jeckyll

Zjendjan was hired by John Jeckyll to help look after his brother. The only thing is... Zjen hasn't yet met that brother. And he has no idea why the brother needs looking after. What does AIDS mean to a boy from the 1640s? So here he is standing outside of the door John directed him to. He puts on his best, keenest look and knocks.

Open Post

Zjendjan is sitting outside, close to the mansion, but hopefully hidden behind a bush, staring intently at a poppy.  There were poppies outside his house in Podlasye.  His older sisters used to make them into wreaths and force him to wear them when he was younger and his brothers would laugh at him and then he would get upset until his mother gave him some honey to remind him of the sweetness in life.  And soon he would smile again and run off to play with the Berkowitz boys down the way.  Zjen hasn't seen his home since he entered his master's service over a year ago and now he doubts that he will ever see it again.

Despite how Zjen often acts, he is still a sixteen year old boy underneath it all.  And right now he is a homesick sixteen year old boy.  But he is trying valiantly to hide that fact.  It isn't working well.  Feel free to distract him.
